KAILUA-KONA — Firefighters quickly extinguished a small brush fire that ignited Tuesday afternoon near the Henry Street and Queen Kaahumanu Highway intersection.

KAILUA-KONA — Firefighters quickly extinguished a small brush fire that ignited Tuesday afternoon near the Henry Street and Queen Kaahumanu Highway intersection.

Hawaii Fire Department firefighters responded to the incident at around 12:40 p.m. When crews arrived, they were able to smother the flames within five minutes. It burned a 40-by-40 yard area of the brush.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
